All-day excursion in the Danube bend ( Esztergom - Visegrád )

This marvellous gift of nature, the Danube bend, lies just north of Budapest and is something of a Mecca for visitors longing for some recreation. Esztergom sitting at the entrance to the Danube bend is an important town in terms of the history of the Hungarian nation, with unique ecclesiastical and secular cultural heritage sure to impress visitors, however many times they come this way.
Continuing along the river, we will wander towards one of the smallest and at the same time one of the oldest towns in the country, Visegrád, which is famous for its International Royal Palace Fair. In this exceptionally cultural town, we can enjoy the natural treasures of the Danube bend and the Pilis Hills, as well as rich man-made heritage.
Programme: departure from Ramada Plaza at 9:30 by coach. On arrival, there will be a guided sightseeing tour in Esztergom (Basilica, Castle Hill, Open Air Pantheon). Lunch will be at the Prímás Pince Restaurant and followed by departure for Visegrád. After seeing the Royal Palace and the Solomon Tower, you will be free to enjoy wandering around the Citadel in your own time. Return to Budapest will be at 16.00, with arrival at around 17.00.Evening Entertainment at the Open Air Museum in Szentendre.

Budapest - Szentendre - Budapest
Hungary's most prominent 'skanzen', the Open Air Museum of Ethnography in Szentendre, presents Hungarian folk architecture, interior design and way of life, with original buildings moved to and reconstructed on the site. It recalls the life of the people who once lived in these buildings, with the objects they used on a daily basis, within the context of traditional villages, from the second part of the eighteenth century up until the First World War.Within the museum grounds, the Inn from Jászárokszállás, standing on the street of the Great Plain region, gives visitors a taste of Hungary’s gastronomic traditions.
Programme: Leaving from Ramada Plaza at 18:30 by coach. On arrival, we will welcome you with homemade honey brandy and scones baked among the embers of the fire. Then, we invite you to visit the open-air museum in a horse-drawn carriage. The thirty-minute round trip will transport you to the various regions of Hungary, and give you a brief glimpse of the exhibitions. Then, at the Inn from Jászárokszállás, you can enjoy a buffet meal of various Hungarian dishes and drinks, while being entertained with gypsy music and a folk dance show.
Walking in the Buda Castle

One of the pearls of Europe, the Buda Castle and its surrounding are part of UNESCO World Heritage. This place fascinates visitors both above and below the ground with its architectural and cultural heritage, some of which is to be found in the heart of the hill.
Programme: Departure from Ramada Plaza at 13.00 by coach. There will be a guided tour of the Castle District (Matthias Church, Fishermen's Bastion, National Szechenyi Library, Alexander Palace, and Royal Palace). After lunch, there will be a one-hour guided tour in the largest section of the cave system - the unique Budavar Labyrinth - which can be visited under the castle. At the end of our walk, we will drop into the renowned and friendly Ruszwurm Confectioner's for delicious coffee and cake. Our journey home will take us down the hill on the funicular of Budavár - one of several special railways in Budapest. A weekend in the spirit of relaxation and recreation (Miskolctapolca, Szépasszonyvölgy, Eger, Egerszalók.)

Our weekend will begin in the wonderful region of north-eastern Hungary, which is abundant in attractions for visitors. Our first stop will be the Cave Bath at Miskolctapolca in the resort area of Miskolc. This indoor swimming pool was created by nature and has many features which are unique in Europe; bathing here is a fabulous experience. The temperature of the thermal water coming from the depths of the hill is delicious, as is the clear air, which is free of any pollutants. Many swear by its healing effects, which are due to the pleasant, healing climate of the cave and its warm karst water. Newly opened natural passages and chambers have been connected to the cave pools. However, at this cave spa, you do not have to give up bathing in the open air and enjoying the view over the park: although the cave is a masterpiece of nature, the lake pools and the light and graceful shell-shaped roof above them are a credit to the creativity of humankind.
After a relaxing and refreshing bath on Saturday afternoon, we head towards the Szépasszony Valley, where after a pleasant evening dinner, we can combine a visit the wine cellar district with wine tasting.
On Sunday morning, we shall pay a visit to one of the most beautiful historical towns of north-eastern Hungary - Eger. This town is the proud host of several world famous museums and monuments, of which the most prominent is Eger Castle. At the end of our trip, after lunch, we shall arrive at our final stop: the Spa and Wellness Bath at Egerszalók, built in a natural environment unique in Europe, at the foot of a special formation of limestone, created by spa water flowing down the hill.Programme: On Saturday leaving from Ramada Plaza at 9.30 by coach. Light lunch in Miskolctapolca in the Bonfini Restaurant, followed by a few hours' free time at the Cave Bath of Miskolctapolca; journey continues at 17.30. Dinner will be at Kulacs Csárda in the Szépasszony Valley, which is the best-known inn in the wine cellar district. Accommodation will be in the three-star guesthouse adjoining the inn. In the evening, there will be free time to enjoy visiting the wine cellars. After breakfast on Sunday, departure for Eger will be at 9.30 am. Sightseeing will be followed by lunch at Imola Udvarház.
Departure for Egerszalók and the Spa and Wellness Bath of Egerszalók. The estimated departure time for return to Budapest is 17.30; the estimated arrival time is 19.00.
